You've got questions, we've got answers.
Can I bring my kids?
We will have only children in our immediate family included in our wedding. We hope with advance notice you will still be able to join us.
Do you prefer guests wear South Asian attire?
Completely optional! We want our guests to be there in the formalwear that brings them joy. We welcome all sides of our cultures celebrated, including both Western and South Asian.
I am opting to wear South Asian but I have no idea where to start. Help!
For beginners, women might want to consider a shalwar kameez or lehenga over a sari (easier to assemble). Anything with draping might be a little trickier for first-timers, but with YouTube tutorials the world is your oyster. For men, kurta or shalwar kameez, styled with a vest or shall are all straightforward in assembling. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Zaid.
If you're hunting for Pakistani wedding attire, a few online stores for both women and men as a starting point include Lashkaraa, Andaaz or Rangreza. Stores like Aayka offer virtual and NYC in-person try-on options, with rentals as part of that. Jackson Heights in Queens has a number of stores as well.
